For two years Nicola promoted the Cooperative Identity (.coop domain names and global Cooperative Marque) to an international audience using online and offline channels. This hands-on role included managing the verification of applications to ensure that only cooperative organisations were successful.
Utilising social media platforms to promote registrations and maintain a Showcase of users of the domain and Marque she also developed and managed an online Cooperative Identity Toolkit.
By December 2015, cooperatives in 109 countries were using either a .coop domain and / or the Cooperative Marque.
Achievements and highlights:
- Developed and launched an online registration system www.identity.coop
- Exceeded first year target to get co-ops in 75 countries registering for the Marque – achieved 89 countries
- Produced a multi-lingual co-operative identity toolkit including videos, communicator’s guide, editorial, merchandise and a poster
